Valued at US$ 3148 million in 2024, the global Rare Earth Recycling market is forecast to reach US$ 7474 million by 2030, at a CAGR of 15.5% during the forecast period. Rare earth metals are widely used in metallurgy, petrochemicals, glass and ceramics, and are an important component of modern high-tech new materials (permanent magnet materials, polishing materials, catalytic materials, etc.). China's high rare earth production has led to the international consensus that China has monopolized the global production and refining supply of rare earth metals, posing a serious supply risk to importing countries. Therefore, various countries have widely carried out research on the recycling and reuse of rare earth metals. The recovery methods of mineral elements include hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, gas phase extraction and solvent extraction. The recycled raw materials mainly come from electronic waste and other important raw material wastes containing rare earth elements.
