AEM water electrolysis hydrogen production system is an advanced water electrolysis hydrogen production technology. AEM water electrolysis hydrogen production technology is developed on the basis of ALK (alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production) and PEM (proton exchange membrane water electrolysis hydrogen production) technologies. Its core structure is similar to that of PEM electrolyzer, but anion exchange membrane is used to replace proton exchange membrane to achieve effective transfer of OH−. Generally, pure water or low-concentration alkaline solution is used as electrolyte, and cheap non-precious metal catalysts are used.
AEM water electrolysis hydrogen production system can use inexpensive non-precious metal catalysts, and the cost of components such as anion exchange membrane, porous transport layer, bipolar plate, etc. is also lower than that of similar components in PEM electrolysis, which greatly reduces the overall cost.
