A Reverse Brayton Cryocooler is a cryogenic cooling system based on the reversed Brayton cycle, in which high-pressure working gas (typically helium or nitrogen) expands through a high-speed turboexpander under near-isentropic conditions, converting pressure energy into mechanical work and significantly reducing gas temperature. The system consists of compressors, turboexpanders, heat exchangers, and recuperators, and is widely used in LNG, air separation, hydrogen liquefaction, and aerospace cryogenic applications.
