The Integrated Energy Storage and Converter is a standardized energy storage device that integrates a battery, a power converter, and a control system into a single unit. It can convert AC power from the grid into DC power to charge the battery, and also convert DC power stored in the battery back into AC power for use by loads. Essentially, it functions as a centrally controlled energy hub capable of both charging and discharging. Compared to standalone batteries or inverters, it is more like a fully pre-configured system that is ready to use upon installation.
